Wifi Data and Analytics changing the marketing game

Wifi Data and analytics was introduced as an extremely tool that saves time, costs, and the struggle to understand customer behavior. Given that a massive majority of people are highly reliant on WiFi and many would go to locations with free guest WiFi as an incentive, a lot of analytics could be gathered based off the demographic and social media details.
While running a business in hotels, restaurants, or cafes, Wifi analytics aids in the understanding of how each location at any given time is performing and the possible reasons to why. It identifies factors such as consumer behavior which involves the number of people who have stopped by and for how long. It also identifies the locations each customer has visited and how frequently they have visited or if they are first timers. This information helps deduce the pattern of movement of customers and could indicate where changes in marketing strategy could be made.
Data collected from WiFi also involves knowing your customers by the login details they’ve provided to access the guest WiFi. This could include name, social media details, age, gender, language, the device they use and so on depending on the configuration of the guest WiFi.
Once the user is connected to the WiFi, with accordance to the privacy policy of a country, data on the kind of pages they visit, downloads and uploads are all gathered to gain understanding of customer interests.
All this data combined can be extremely useful in booming a business and offering customized offers or promotions where the chances of customers gaining incentive towards staying loyal to a business is much higher.
